In 1987 Brian Regnier was an 8th-grade student at St. George. He was a member of the 8th-grade Boys’ Basketball team and received the “Most Improved Award” that season. Several years after graduating from St. George, Brian was tragically killed in an accident. In his honor, St. George retired his jersey, which is displayed in the hallway outside the girls' locker room. The “Most Improved Award” in Boys’ Basketball is named in his honor.
